Zack Magee is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Apollo Networks, and someone who has lived and breathed technology for as long as anyone who knows him can remember—quite literally. One of the photos featured on this page shows Zack on his fourth birthday, unwrapping a Lexmark printer with the excitement most kids reserve for bicycles or action figures. In hindsight, it makes perfect sense: Zack has been immersed in tech since early childhood… and, ironically, his dislike for printers began decades before the rest of the IT world collectively agreed to despise them.
That early fascination with computers, hardware, and connectivity would shape the rest of his life. Zack spent his entire adult career in the industry, getting his start in high-availability hosting environments where uptime isn’t just a metric—it’s a mandate. Working hands-on with clustered infrastructure, failover systems, and load-balanced environments from a young age gave him a strong instinct for resilience. He quickly learned that every second of downtime has real consequences, and that understanding still underpins Apollo Networks’ philosophy today: build it right, make it reliable, and anticipate problems before they ever surface.
His technical foundation is matched by a commitment to leadership and public service. Outside of Apollo Networks, Zack serves as a volunteer law enforcement officer, holding the rank of Sergeant and acting as a patrol supervisor. In that role, he is responsible for leading teams, making rapid decisions under pressure, and bringing calm, structured judgment to unpredictable situations. These same qualities—clear communication, accountability, and decisive leadership—shape Zack’s approach as CEO. Whether supervising a shift or guiding an organization, his priority is the same: ensure the people under his care have what they need to operate safely, effectively, and confidently.
Zack is also an accomplished drummer and a passionate fan of symphonic metal. He has traveled internationally to see many of the genre’s defining artists, including Delain, Sirenia, Within Temptation, and Charlotte Wessels. He often credits the genre’s blend of precision, power, and orchestral emotion as an influence on his own balance of creativity and technical rigor.
Today, Zack splits his time between Long Island and Miami, leading Apollo Networks’ growth in both regions and maintaining close involvement with clients across multiple industries. His life—whether in technology, public safety, or music—has always been about commitment, passion, and doing things with purpose. That same ethos drives Apollo Networks as it continues to expand, innovate, and deliver world-class service to businesses across the country.
